事迹：

德肋撒生于热心的教友家庭。首次申请进修会时，由于未达法定年龄而不获接受，她在罗马朝圣谒见教宗时，请求教宗特准她破例提早进修院，教宗回答：「假如天主的圣意要你进修会，你的愿望一定会实现的。」同年年底，她获接纳进入加尔默罗修会。

　

她的灵修「小方法」是在灵性方面作一个小孩，一心依靠天主。在服从其神长的指令下，她将一生的灵修经验记录下来，编成自传。

I knew that the Church had a heart and that such a heart appeared to be a flame with love. ...... if this love were extinguished, the apostles would have proclaimed the Gospel no longer, the martyrs would have shed their blood no more.
