The problem with Fr. Tsui's position is his ambiguous discourse of a proper relationship between nature and grace, failing to highlight the uniqueness and gratuity of God' Revelation in Jesus Christ, as taught in “Dominus Iesu” no. 21-22 (2000). The teachings of Confucius or Buddha were preparation for Christ and his Gospel. They are not meant to run parallel with or make supplement to the event of Christ, the only Son of God, the only mediator between God and humankind (cf. Acts 4:12; 1 Tim 2:5). Here G. K.
